- Year - 28.5 Hours

(To start as soon as possible )

Grade 3 - £24,796 for 28.5 hours per week term time only for 45.8 weeks per annum equating to £16,777.19 pro rata

We are looking for a capable Level 1 Learning Support Assistant to work as a 1-1 support teacher for a child with additional learning needs.

At Neyland Community School we are passionate about providing the highest quality care for all our children in a fun, stimulating and caring environment. We love the outside and promote active learning opportunities in the outdoors - in all weathers!

The role will be to support children both in the classroom and on an individual 1-1 basis to access the curriculum, further develop communication skills and to support with the implementation of targets from their individual development Plans.

Responsibilities
  • To contribute to the planning and implementation of appropriate programmes of activity for the children in collaboration with the class teacher.
  • To have a full understanding of the school systems of record keeping and keep records of the children's development, using our online learning journey called See Saw.
  • To assist with the Breakfast Club routines each morning
  • To assist in the provision of an attractive and stimulating range of equipment, activities and displays, indoors and out, relevant to the ages and needs of the children, which encourage independence, self-motivation and eagerness to learn
  • To assist in the provision of a high-quality environment to meet the needs of individual children from differing cultures and religious backgrounds and stages of development
  • To be familiar with the National Minimum Standards and guidelines and recommendations of good practice and assist in their implementation
  • To share the responsibility for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children

The vacancy is for 28.5 hours per week over five days, Monday to Thursday from 08:30 to 15:00 and 08:30 – 13:00 Friday.
