Dispatch Operator

Gavro Freight International is hiring for a detail-oriented Dispatcher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating the transportation of goods, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining effective communication between drivers, customers, and internal teams. This role is crucial in optimizing logistics operations and enhancing customer satisfaction.

Hours are:
M-F 8am-430pm

Hours must be flexible to work all shifts and weekends if needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily dispatch operations, ensuring efficient routing of freight to meet delivery schedules.
• Communicate effectively with drivers regarding pick-up and delivery instructions, addressing any issues that may arise during transit.
• Analyze shipping and receiving data to optimize routes and improve operational efficiency.
• Maintain accurate records of all shipments, including documentation related to shipping, receiving, and freight handling.
• Provide exceptional phone etiquette while interacting with customers and vendors over phone systems.
• Collaborate with team members to resolve any discrepancies or challenges in the shipping process.

• Proficiency in using transportation management systems
• Strong understanding of shipping and receiving processes within a logistics environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on effective phone etiquette.
• Ability to analyze data to make informed decisions regarding freight routing and logistics operations.
• Strong typing skills for accurate data entry and record keeping.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
