The Position. Bercon Rentals Inc., is offering an excellent opportunity for a full-time permanent Shop Service Technician who is ready to grow their career with the leading company in the industry. To continue our tremendous success and unparalleled growth, we are searching for a qualified and ambitious individual.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on a variety of rental and customer equipment to meet company policies and industry safety regulations
- Demonstrate equipment for customer
- Occasional travel to customer sites may be required
- Other duties as required
Qualifications or Skills
- High School Diploma
- Level 3 in either 421A Heavy Equipment or 310T Truck and Coach or higher
- 3+ years Aerial Work Platform experience preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge with various engines and hydraulic systems
- Have a good understanding of schematics and diagrams
- Strong collaboration and communication skills including verbal and written skills
- Knowledge of equipment from brands such as Skyjack, JLG and Genie

Job Type: Full-time
Expected hours: 44 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Hamilton, ON L8E 4H6: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
- Red Seal certified is preferred but not a requirement
- Level 3 421A Heavy Equipment Apprentice or Equivalent
