Service Shop Technician

The Position. Bercon Rentals Inc., is offering an excellent opportunity for a full-time permanent Shop Service Technician who is ready to grow their career with the leading company in the industry. Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on a variety of rental and customer equipment to meet company policies and industry safety regulations
• Demonstrate equipment for customer
• Occasional travel to customer sites may be required
• Other duties as required

Qualifications or Skills

• High School Diploma
• Level 3 in either 421A Heavy Equipment or 310T Truck and Coach or higher
• 3+ years Aerial Work Platform experience preferred
• Strong mechanical knowledge with various engines and hydraulic systems
• Have a good understanding of schematics and diagrams
• Strong collaboration and communication skills including verbal and written skills
• Knowledge of equipment from brands such as Skyjack, JLG and Genie

Job Type: Full-time

Expected hours: 44 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Hamilton, ON L8E 4H6: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
• Red Seal certified is preferred but not a requirement
• Level 3 421A Heavy Equipment Apprentice or Equivalent
