Barista

Overview

We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Barista to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items while delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.

• Take customer orders accurately and process payments efficiently
• Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages to company standards
• Communicate clearly with chefs and kitchen staff regarding orders
• Maintain a friendly, professional, and welcoming attitude
• Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of workstations at all times
• Clean and maintain coffee machines, grinders, and blenders daily
• Stock café supplies including cups, lids, and other disposables
• Assist with inventory control and stock-taking
• Prepare food items such as pastries, muffins, cookies, and baked goods
• Report equipment maintenance needs promptly
• Support other café and retail outlet duties as required
• Comply with all health, safety, and hygiene regulations
• Gather customer feedback and share suggestions with management

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Barista
• Barista certification preferred
• Proven experience with espresso machines and brewing equipment
• Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation standards
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays

• Standing for extended periods
• Handling hot equipment and beverages
• Fast-paced café environment
