Full-time position

This role sits in the Council’s Community Group, which comprises of community focused services such as Hamilton Pool, Parks and Recreation, Hamilton City Librariesand the city’s three main visitor attractions.

You’ll be working with our Nursery and Natural Areas team, Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, and there are no overnight stays, so you get to go home to your friends and family each night.

• You’ll be involved in the delivery of works such as ecological restoration including site preparation.
• Planting and maintenance.
• Pest plant control.
• You’ll work in pairs or sometime in the wider team.

• A passion for working outdoors in all weather and contributing to your community.
• Practical experience in a related field.
• Good level of physical fitness.
• Some understanding of indigenous ecosystems.
• The ability to follow instructions from others and collaborate effectively as a team player.

Starting at $28.95 per hour, dependent on skills and experience.
