Shifts: Weekends (Saturday and Sunday): 9:00am - 5:00pm or 10:00am - 6:00pm.

No On-Call Required

What You’ll Do

As a Shift Registered Practical Nurse, you’ll play a hands‑on role in the community, visiting clients in homes to deliver personalized, high‑quality care. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Pediatric care
  • Palliative care
  • Wound care
  • IV therapy
  • Chronic disease management and health teaching
  • Supporting clients with tracheostomy and/or ventilator needs (experience is an asset)
  • Managing diabetes care (experience is an asset)

What You Bring Education & Certification
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (RN)
  • Current registration in good standing with the provincial regulatory body (CNO)
  • Additional certifications (e.g., CNA, LEAP, de Souza) are assets
Experience
  • 1–2 years of recent relevant nursing experience, preferably in a community setting
  • Experience with palliative, pediatrics, diabetes management, trach/vent care is an asset
Other Requirements
  • Valid G2 or G Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Willingness to travel within the Hamilton/Burlington area in all weather conditions
