Production Supervisor; 2nd Class

We are seeking a Production Supervisor for our food manufacturing client to oversee daily production operations and plant utilities in Hamilton, ON region.

Pay - $100k-$120k

Shift - 12-hour rotating shifts

• Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to meet safety, quality, and output targets
• Operate, monitor, and oversee boilers, refrigeration systems, compressors, and utilities in accordance with regulatory standards
• Ensure compliance with HACCP, GMP, CFIA, and food safety regulations
• Lead, coach, and support production operators and maintenance staff across shifts
• Monitor production KPIs including efficiency, downtime, waste, and labour utilization
• Coordinate with Maintenance, Quality Assurance, and Engineering teams to resolve equipment or process issues
• Conduct shift handovers, incident reporting, and production documentation
• Enforce workplace health & safety policies and ensure a clean, safe production environment
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and cost-reduction projects

• Valid 2nd Class Operating Engineer certification (mandatory)
• 3–5+ years of supervisory experience in food, beverage, or pharmaceutical manufacturing
• Proven experience working with DCS / PLC-based control systems
• Strong knowledge of boilers, refrigeration systems, utilities, and pressure equipment
• Hands-on experience in high-volume, fast-paced production environments
• Solid understanding of food safety standards (HACCP, GMP)
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable working shifts, including nights or weekends if required
