We are looking for a Shipper for our Hannon location. This position will be reporting to the Shipping Supervisor. The key responsibility is to ensure accurate preparation, packaging, and coordination of outgoing shipments to meet delivery timelines.
What You’ll Do- Process orders to meet delivery schedule for requested pick up time.
- Provide substitutions or replacements where necessary.
- Pack products on pallets to avoid any damage.
- Label and pack pallets according to customer requirements.
- Load products onto trucks according to delivery schedule.
- Make arrangements with carrier for any shipments required to ship outside carrier.
- Report any product returns to Customer Service.
- Perform weekly cycle counts – minimum 1x per week.
- Review packing slips on all supplier orders ensuring accuracy.
- Report damaged product or shortages to Customer Service immediately.
- Sign all packing slips detailing damages and/or shortages.
- Ensure product is put away in warehouse once received from supplier.
- Perform product audits when necessary.
- Valid Counterbalance Propane License.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts.
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
- Ability to work autonomously and with little direction.
- Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Detail oriented.
- Sense of urgency and ability to solve problems in a fast paced environment.
