Technical Field Advisor; Millwright

Technical Field Advisor (Millwright) – Grimsby/Hamilton, Ontario

Reporting to the Parts & Service Manager, the Technical Field Advisor shall provide support in all areas pertaining to field installation, inspections, repairs/troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance.

• Provide expert guidance and support for technical issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimizing downtime
• Conduct on‑site evaluations to analyze systems, equipment, and processes, identifying areas for improvement or troubleshooting
• Install, align, dismantle and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment—such as pumps, fans, tanks, conveyors, furnaces and generators—according to layout plans using hand and power tools
• Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions
• Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts
• Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery

• Ability to travel 75% of the year
• A valid passport and the ability to travel without restrictions are required
• Carry a class G or higher driver’s license with the ability to provide a valid, clear driver’s abstract within thirty (30) days of hire date
• Role requires flexibility for emergency breakdowns or late scheduling changes
• Ability to read blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures

• Relevant certification such as 433A is an asset; a strong background in machine assembly will be considered equivalent
• Experience in PLC, hydraulics and pneumatics is an asset
