Job Description & How to Apply Below

Our client with a significant residential and development-focused property portfolio is seeking an experienced Paralegal (Property Tax & Litigation) to support its internal legal function.

This role works closely with senior legal leadership and internal teams, handling a broad range of matters including litigation support, residential tenancy issues, municipal enforcement, property standards, zoning, and property tax disputes. The successful candidate will be trusted with sensitive files and expected to exercise strong judgment, discretion, and attention to detail.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Support litigation and tribunal matters involving the Landlord and Tenant Board, municipal and zoning tribunals, property standards committees, and Small Claims Court
  • Prepare submissions, evidence, and attend hearings as a licensed paralegal where applicable
  • Manage files related to problematic or vagrant tenants, enforcement actions, and operational legal matters
  • Lead property tax reviews, MPAC assessment analysis, appeals, and tracking of outcomes
  • Partner with accounting and external stakeholders to reconcile tax data and assess financial impact
  • Draft and review real estate documentation, including agreements of purchase and sale, amendments, assignments, and closing materials
  • Conduct legal research and draft correspondence, affidavits, and tribunal filings
What We’re Looking For
  • Paralegal Diploma from an accredited institution; LSO licence preferred
  • 3–5+ years of experience in residential tenancy, litigation support, municipal or property tax matters
  • Strong understanding of LTB processes, municipal enforcement, and property tax assessment frameworks
  • Experience in real estate, development, or property management environments is a strong asset
  • Highly organized, analytical, and comfortable managing confidential matters independently
  • This is an excellent opportunity for a paralegal looking to step into a trusted, in-house style role with exposure to complex, real-world legal and property matters.
