Resource Manager, National Tax – KPMG Canada

Working closely with business leaders, the Resource Management function ensures the effective utilization and development of our people.
This role contributes significantly to KPMG's business performance and plays a key role in helping individuals at KPMG fulfill their career ambitions.
- Manage the National Tax Resource Management Team to report and analyze data and resources to support staffing decisions.
- Interact with partners and managers to understand staffing needs.
- Facilitate partner/manager conflict resolution regarding staffing.
- Produce and review utilization, forecast, and variance reports and deliver process‑compliance statistics.
- Provide advanced warning of resource availability issues.
- Identify available resources, matching skills with engagement requirements and, when necessary, facilitate the use of resources from other areas.
- Maintain a solid understanding of resource expertise, skills, project experience, client continuity, and staffing preferences.
- Work with Resource Management software to schedule, plan, and manage resource needs.
- Attend partner and manager planning meetings to understand staffing and client requirements, including conflict resolution and stakeholder liaison.
- Support the team with projects, meetings, and ad‑hoc work as needed.

- Strong computer skills (Power BI, MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Experience with resource forecasting tools is an asset.
- Excellent written and oral business communication skills.
- Post‑secondary / university degree.
- Three years of experience in a professional services environment, either in a client‑facing or Resource Management role.
