Qualifications:

• Registration (member in good standing) with the provincial College of Occupational Therapists
• 1-3 years of experience required
• Experience treating clients with physical, mental health, and/or neurological conditions
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Supporting occupational rehabilitation experience is a strong asset
• Experience supporting auto insurance, long-term disability, and WSIB referrals is a strong asset
• A valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle

Responsibilities:

• Creating and implementing individualized treatment plans based on analysis and clinical reasoning
• Educating clients on pacing, pain management, cognitive behavioral strategies, and task modification to improve function
• Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team including physiotherapists, kinesiologists, psychotherapists, physicians, and psychologists
• Participating in case conferences and case management
• Supporting return-to-work programs
• Utilizing e-charting software for documentation and submitting reports timely
• Managing caseload in a fast-paced environment
