Our NPO client in Hamilton is seeking a dedicated and adaptable Accounting Specialist to join their close-knit finance team. • Manage accounts payable processes and expand into other areas of finance.
• Work closely with the Director and other staff members to provide financial services.
• Handling General Accounting tasks
• Bank and credit card reconciliations
• Integrate effectively with the finance team and the agency's operational needs.
• Cash application
• Assist the manager with month-end reporting and year end audits
• Utilize Sage software for financial operations

• Proven full-time experience in a finance role with a willingness to learn and grow.
• All-around knowledge beyond accounts payable; non-profit experience is a plus.
• Strong communication skills
• Experience with Sage software is beneficial, but not a must-have if quick to learn.
• Payroll experience is an asset
