INTERN, STADIUM EVENTS & OPERATIONS

Term:
April 27th, 2026 - November 27th, 2026

The Hamilton Sports Group, Stadium Events & Operations Intern will have the opportunity to plan and execute events and game day activities at Hamilton Stadium, a state of the art facility. This individual will be responsible for assisting with the planning, design, and implementation of all events at Hamilton Stadium. They will play a significant role in improving and executing departmental programs to ensure all targets are met with successful outcomes.

The role also will provide valuable recruitment and management experience.

Responsibilities And Duties
  • Assist in hiring, training, and managing the game day Operations Team for all Tiger-Cats and Forge FC home games, and special events.
  • Assist in the preparation of the stadium for each stadium event – set up stadium branding, parking signage, gate barricades, field of play, and all specialty seating areas.
  • Coordinate and supervise all corporate partners with their game day activations at Hamilton Stadium.
  • Lead the game day Operations Team with set-up/tear down of all game day activations.
  • Aid in the setup of minor stadium events, such as corporate meetings, community initiatives, and season seat holder events.
  • Support the Stadium Events and Operations Coordinator and Manager with all operational details for game days, special events, and stadium maintenance projects.
Qualifications And Skills
  • Superior event management skills developed through previous operations and event management experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and desire to improve best practices and procedures.
  • An ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and problem‑solving ability.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Passion for football, soccer, the Tiger-Cats, Forge FC, and the Hamilton community.
  • Previous leadership experience is an asset.
Compensation

Interns will receive a $300 per month stipend, with a $700 honorarium following the completion of their seven‑month internship. Interns who complete a four‑month internship will receive a $350 honorarium. Interns will be paid $90 for Hamilton Tiger‑Cats games and $65 for Forge FC matches.
