Your journey begins here! This position assists the Maintenance Department in the service, repair, and preventative maintenance of our growing fleet of aircraft. This role requires a thorough working knowledge of aircraft systems on multiple aircraft including air conditioning, hydraulics, engines, flight controls, landing gear, avionics, electrical generation, oxygen, fuel, pneumatics. The AME maintains engines and components including fuel systems, anti-ice, ignition, fire extinguishing, exhaust, oil, and engine indicating systems, as well as maintain aircraft systems and components including landing gear, airframe fuel, hydraulic and high pressure pneumatic, flight control, cabin environment, ice/rain protection, fire protection/detection, and doors/interiors and emergency equipment.
The position reports to the Maintenance Lead. Applicants interested in a long-term opportunity will receive priority over others.
- Read and interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other specifications to determine the feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.
- Inspection and assessment of aircraft components and airframe including engines, landing gear, flight controls, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic systems to locate defects or other problems in accordance with appropriate documents.
- Conduct operational tests of engines and aircraft systems.
- Troubleshoot aircraft structural, mechanical, or hydraulic systems to identify problems and adjust and repair systems according to specifications, technical drawings, manuals, and established procedures.
- Repair and overhaul aircraft structural, mechanical, or hydraulic systems.
- Install or modify aircraft engines and mechanical, hydraulic, flight control, fuel, and pneumatic systems.
- Dismantle airframes, aircraft engines or other aircraft systems for repair, overhaul, and cleaning, and reassemble.
- Perform and document routine maintenance.
- Complete basic inspection tasks; inspection of aircraft in accordance with service bulletins, airworthiness directives and aircraft manuals
- Perform required computer entries and ensure appropriate documentation is completed accurately and on time.
- Monitor aircraft performance on daily basis.
- Ensure operating and maintenance procedures comply with industry and internal regulations and quality standards.
- Comply with company policy, procedures, and standards.
- Keep current with technical published information.
