** What You’ll Be Doing
*** Ensure compliance with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and Johnson Electric policies.
* Design and develop electrical control systems, equipment, and machinery.
* Test and troubleshoot PLCs and HMIs.
* Assist with installation, testing, and debugging during machine startups and commissioning.
* Support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and provide remote assistance for field service.
* Perform Proof of Concept activities for complex technical issues.
* Travel to Johnson Electric plants across Canada and the USA to support projects.
* Collaborate with project management and engineering teams to design automated assembly lines, including presses, CNC upgrades, grinders, and robotic cells.
* Create and maintain documentation for new and existing equipment.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
* Perform other related duties as required.
** What We’re Looking For
*** Post-secondary education in Electrical Engineering/Design (Mechatronics, Industrial, or Electromechanical disciplines).
* Comfortable working in a fixed-term contract role (approx. 8 months).
* Some experience as Electrical Designer using EPLAN software.
* Knowledge of CSA, UL, and safety compliance for industrial robot systems.
* Ability to create and read electrical prints and apply controls design principles.
* Expertise in System Control and PLC/HMI.
* Experience commissioning machines (IO Checkout, Ethernet IP setup, Machine Safety setup, troubleshooting).
* Independent and self-motivated with hands-on experience.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office;
Solid Works experience is an asset.
* Strong communication skills (written and verbal) across all organizational levels.
* High integrity, dependability, and results orientation.
* Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
