Electrical Lead
We are seeking an Electrical Lead to provide strategic direction for site electrical, automation, and network infrastructure. This role involves supervising a team of technicians and ensuring adherence to network and security standards.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement strategies for site electrical, automation, and network infrastructure.
- Serve as the Plant Site Security and Automation Leader, collaborating with regional teams to maintain systems, network, and security standards.
- Manage a team of rotating and day shift technicians responsible for production line service and preventative maintenance of processing, packaging, and warehouse equipment.
- Support and enhance the skills of the electrical team through training, system maintenance, and improvement opportunities.
- Maintain site automation devices, including PLC/HMI/Instrumentation/IDC files, systems, and infrastructure.
- Experience in automation, electrical systems, PLC programming, and blueprint interpretation.
- Knowledge of PLC troubleshooting and control.
- Supervisory and leadership communication skills.
- A degree in Electrical Engineering or a 442a certification.
- 3-7 years of experience with Allen Bradley and Siemens PLCs.
- 2-5 years of leadership or supervisory experience.
- Strong knowledge of electrical schematics, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, robotics, and programming.
Skills & Qualifications
- 442a certification or an Electrical Engineering degree.

Work EnvironmentWork in a large, state‑of‑the‑art, and heavily automated manufacturing/GMP facility. The environment is temperature‑controlled and meticulously clean, with a requirement to comply with GMP standards, including wearing PPE such as hairnets, beardnets, coats, and safety shoes. The facility houses 400‑500 employees, divided into four crews, each with about 100 people. Maintenance crews consist of approximately seven members, and you will lead a team of 12 electrical technicians.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hamilton, ON.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $47.00 - $58.00/hr.
