Unit Summary
The Ron Joyce Children’s Health Centre (RJCHC) is an HHS outpatient facility housing the McMaster Children’s Hospital (MCH) programs of Autism Spectrum Disorder, Developmental Pediatrics and Rehabilitation, Child and Youth Mental Health (Hamilton), and the Prosthetics and Orthotics Services. Situated on the Hamilton General Campus, the RJCHC has approximately 300 staff and delivers a total of 70,000 on site and community based visits per year.The RJCHC is committed to delivering the best care for all and ensuring all in contact with the centre experience service excellence. Community integration and development of meaningful partnerships are key focuses for the RJCHC.
Position Summary
The Administrative Assistant provides administrative support to the Clinical Director, Clinical Manager and Leadership team of the Autism Spectrum Disorder Program, McMaster Children's Hospital. The Administrative Assistant is responsible for organizing schedules, meetings, program files, entering statistical data, running statistical reports, and problem solving day to day issues. The Administrative Assistant is responsible for processing all Human Resource requests for the program.
All other duties as assigned.

This position is temporary until March 2027.
Qualifications1. Graduate of Community College or equivalent
2. Excellent computer skills: including all Microsoft applications e.g. Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel
3. Effective communication and interpersonal skills within a professional environment
4. Effective problem solving skills
5. Demonstrated management/administrative skills
6. Demonstrated ability to work on own initiative, organize and establish priorities
7. Demonstrated ability to meet project and task deadlines
8. Demonstrated ability to develop systems that create efficient workflow
9. Tact and discretion in dealing with confidential matters
10. Demonstrated ability to function in a fast-paced, challenging, complex environment
11. Typing speed 60 words per minute
12. Willingness to participate in a criminal reference screening process
13. Fluency in French will be considered an asset
14. Must be able to obtain a valid Vulnerable Sector Screen (VSS)
