Assistant Store Manager – Full Time

Goodwill Industries Southern New England Inc. Assistant Store Manager under general supervision of the Store Manager. Responsible for assisting in overall store operations, including collections, processing, sales performance and personnel management. Must supervise store associates and shift supervisors, maintain store appearance and safety standards, and manage financial performance and cash operations.

• Oversee store floor appearance, cleanliness and shopping environment.
• Manage inventory processing, pricing, rotation and promotions to meet sales goals.
• Ensure quality customer service, including telephone relations and in‑store service.
• Supervise associates, shift supervisors and community service workers; plan and assign work.
• Manage cash operations, daily cash reports, pick‑ups and deposits.
• Enforce safety, security and loss prevention protocols.
• Assist with scheduling, hiring, training and performance management.
• Maintain equipment and facility in proper working order.

• High school diploma or GED; 2+ years related experience, including supervisory experience.
• 18 years of age; strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to perform physical demands – lift 25–100 lbs, stand, walk and use hands.
• Knowledge of bookkeeping, accounting principles and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Integrity, business ethics and high level of integrity.
• Ability to read, interpret and write routine reports and correspondence.

Hourly pay range: $19.56 – $25.33 per hour. Current pay: $20.50 per hour.
