40 hour a week 10am-6pm Monday - Friday exempt position with an on call rotation.
The Building Operations and Safety supervisor is responsible for supervising the daily functions and operations of the team with a primary focus on safety, security and daily upkeep within the community across both campuses. This position has direct oversight of the department's safety and security functions. In addition, this position works in direct partnership with the Technical Maintenance Supervisor to jointly oversee daily maintenance activities, with specific supervisory responsibility for tasks related to painting, wall patching, exterior maintenance, and the physical plant - both inside and outside.
This role ensures the consistent delivery of high-quality maintenance and safety services to both residents and team members, supporting a safe, well-maintained, and welcoming environment.

Requirements
Safety and Security
- Supervise team members responsible for the daily safety and security of the community.
- Develop, maintain, and manage 24/7 staffing schedules and approve payroll within payroll software for safety and security team members
- Serve as a member of the community's First Responder Team, responding to emergencies such as fires, floods, and power outages.
- Collaborate with Clinical Operations on disaster preparedness and response initiatives.
- Participate in the annual Mutual Aid Region Two Disaster Drill.
- Ensure timely updates to the corporate Safety Manual and assist with department-specific safety manual updates.
- Coordinate and execute monthly fire drills for Health Center team members in compliance with DPH standards.
- Complete and maintain required documentation for regulatory compliance.
- Schedule and oversee bi-annual fire alarm testing with external vendors and ensure timely completion of all required paperwork.
- Ensure all safety and security in-services are completed and properly documented.
- Supervise maintenance activities related to painting, wall patching, exterior maintenance, and grounds upkeep.
- Complete daily work orders as assigned by the Technical Maintenance Supervisor.
- Serve as backup in assigning daily work orders to Building Operations team members.
- Manage snow and ice preparation and removal operations, including coordination with external vendors and internal departments.
- Serve as department liaison to the Garden and Landscape Committee and communicate recommendations to the Building Operations team.
- Support and enhance the preventative maintenance program with a focus on life safety systems and security infrastructure and ensure compliance and documentation.
- Participate in on-call rotation and respond to off-hour emergencies as needed.
