Musicians for Hospice Patients Needed job den, CT. Accent Care Hospice is currently seeking Musical Companion Volunteers to bring comfort to our end-of-life patients. Volunteers have the choice of serving directly with patients and families, or indirectly at events such as in-service education events, memorials, community events, etc. Accent Care Hospice serves patients in nearly all of Connecticut, so the area in which you serve can be more local to wherever is convenient for you!
ResponsibilitiesThe volunteer role involves bringing comfort to end-of-life patients as a Musical Companion. You may serve directly with patients and families or indirectly at events such as in-service education events, memorials, and community events. Most correspondence can be done by phone, mail, or email, eliminating the need to come to the offices on a regular basis. Occasional participation in events in various local Connecticut areas is possible based on availability.
Qualifications/ Requirements
- Comprehensive volunteer orientation, health screenings, and training are required and provided free of charge.
- As a member of the Hospice Interdisciplinary Team, ongoing support and education opportunities are available.
- The time commitment for volunteering is flexible and based on the individual’s availability.
- Opportunities are available in local areas across Connecticut to fit the volunteer’s schedule.
