At Comfort Keepers, you will spend your days providing joy, friendship and at-home health care services to seniors and other adults in need of some extra help.

As a caregiver, you will help seniors stay in their own home without compromising their medical and non-medical care. In addition to maintaining a senior’s health and wellbeing, you will work to provide positive experiences that enhance the quality of his or her life.

• Provide companionship to clients, offering conversation and emotional reassurance.
• Provide friendly assistance to ensure a safe, protected, and orderly environment.
• Support daily activities including dressing guidance, grooming, meal preparation, medication reminders, errands, laundry and light housekeeping.
• Provide transportation to doctor’s appointments, beauty shops, and other activities.
• Establish and maintain effective communication with clients, family members, and co-workers.
• Perform duties as outlined in the care service plan.
• Assist with activities of daily living as needed, including bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, oral hygiene, and ambulation, per Comfort Keepers approved personal care activities.

• Minimum high school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license, automobile insurance, and reliable vehicle.
• Submit to criminal background investigation and motor vehicle driving record checks.
• Submit to pre-employment drug screening.

• PCA, HHA, and CNA license or at least one year of professional caregiving experience.
• Open availability strongly preferred.

• Staff are trained in infectious disease control.
• Caregivers do not care for clients who exhibit signs of illness or have tested positive for the virus, as a safety measure for themselves and for other clients and families.
• Caregivers stay home if ill to prevent transmitting illness to clients or colleagues.
• Staff follow CDC-recommended hygiene practices, including frequent handwashing, use of hand sanitizer with 70% alcohol or higher, and surface disinfection.
• If staff or clients show signs of COVID-19, the company will report, isolate and quarantine as necessary, in line with national and local guidelines.
