Director Commercial Planning & Strategic Initiatives

Overview

Evotec is seeking a dynamic Director Commercial Planning & Strategic Initiatives (all genders) – Full time and permanent.

The Director, Commercial Planning & Strategic Initiatives, will lead strategic planning and financial modeling efforts to support Evotec’s commercial strategy. This role focuses on scenario analysis, resource allocation, and strategic initiatives that drive growth, profitability, and operational efficiency across business segments.

• Strategic Planning & Scenario Modeling:
  Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic decision-making, including revenue forecasting, margin analysis, and scenario planning.
• Commercial Performance Analysis:
  Partner with Finance and Operations to analyze revenue mix, client profitability, and pipeline conversion metrics. Identify commercial levers for margin improvement.
• Initiative Leadership:
  Drive strategic initiatives such as portfolio optimization, pricing strategy, and resource allocation projects.
• Data-Driven Insights:
  Create dashboards and reports to monitor commercial performance and provide actionable insights to senior leadership.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  
  Work closely with Business Development, Finance, and Operations to ensure alignment of commercial plans with corporate objectives.
• Market & Competitive Intelligence:
  Incorporate market trends and competitor analysis into planning models to inform strategic priorities.
• Executive Communication:
  Prepare and deliver presentations, business cases, and performance reviews for senior leadership and board-level discussions.

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, Finance, Economics, or related field; MBA preferred.
• Substantial experience in commercial planning, financial modeling, or strategic analysis within CRO, CDMO, biotech, or pharma.
• Proven expertise in building complex financial models and conducting scenario analysis.
• Strong understanding of drug discovery and development economics and commercial drivers.
• Experience in portfolio planning, pricing strategy, and resource allocation.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic communication skills.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and manage cross-functional projects in a matrix environment.
