• Creation and evaluation of design concepts for embedded software or software for embedded operating systems
• Rapid prototyping as part of feasibility tests
• Realization of concepts from component and module design to implementation and testing
• Expansion of existing concepts and developments
• Support for testing and integration
• Creation of technical documentation as part of development and for qualification

• Completed studies in electrical engineering, information technology or a comparable course of study or equivalent training
• Proven skills with various microcontrollers (e.g. Cortex M0, M4) and in the development of software with C and/or C++
• Knowledge of various bus systems (e.g. RS232, I2C)
• Experience with a structured software development process from the customer idea to the acceptance test, ideally based on the V-model
• Experience in the development of protocols and drivers as well as with real-time operating systems is desirable
• Experience in UML-based software design is an advantage
• Knowledge of industry-specific or cross-industry norms and standards is a plus
• Coordinative skills and the will to actively integrate into a team
• Fluent written and spoken German and a good command of English
