Our client located in Haltom City, Texas is adding a Mechanical Design Engineer to their team. This is a contract to possible hire opportunity.

• The hands‑on Mechanical Design Engineer will design, model, and oversee fabrication of mechanical systems.
• Your role blends Solid Works design, mechanical engineering analysis, and project coordination.
• Create, review, and maintain mechanical designs, assemblies, 3D models, and drawings.
• Oversee project design tasks and coordinate with engineering/manufacturing teams.
• Mentor junior personnel (where applicable) and act as a technical resource.
• Support R&D and process improvement initiatives.
• Ensure designs are manufacturable, reliable, and efficient.
• Document engineering processes and project progress.
• Work as part of a team to reach goals/milestones and hit deadlines.

• Strong mechanical engineering background or equivalent hands‑on experience.
• Proficiency in Solid Works (3D modeling, assemblies, drawings).
• Experience in:
  • Mechanism/machine design.
  • Metal fabrication technologies (sheet metal, machining, etc.).
  • Design for manufacturability and reliability.
  • Ability to perform mechanical analysis of parts and assemblies.
  • Hands‑on fabrication experience.
  • Automation systems experience.
• Automotive experience is a plus.
• Aviation experience is a plus.
• Electrical, controls, or systems design experience is a plus.
• AutoCAD / 3D design experience.
• FEA using Sim Solid or Solid Works Simulation.
• Mechanical Engineering Degree is a plus but not a hard requirement for the right candidate.
