Base Pay Range
We are seeking a Drainage and Jetting Technician to join our team covering the Calderdale and the Yorkshire and Humber region
. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.
- Carry out all types of drainage and jetting repairs to both tenanted and vacant properties in accordance with job tickets, opti‑time appointment slots, specifications, contract drawings, and applicable regulations, such as Building Regulations.
- Diagnose and problem‑solve repairs efficiently, minimizing the use of materials and time, while adhering to a "Right First Time" ethos and completing repairs in a single visit wherever possible, ensuring high‑quality workmanship and performance standards.
- Keep records such as required by either paper or electronic equivalent version, as required.
- Undertake measurements and quantification and procure material requirements.
- Carry out all work with a high regard to customer care and customer satisfaction, ensuring that work is carried out protecting tenants' furniture and belongings as appropriate, being polite, friendly and helpful at all times, and liaising with customers in a caring and sympathetic manner.
- Carry out appropriate risk assessments prior to commencement of work, ensuring that all reasonable steps are taken to protect the health, safety and welfare of you, tenants, work colleagues and members of the public.
- A full manual UK driver’s licence.
- Prior experience in general maintenance or caretaking roles.
- Experience in domestic and commercial drainage jetting.
- A knowledge of health and safety in the workplace.
- Knowledge of how to operate and maintain a range of hand‑held tools for construction work.
- The ability to handle clients and/or the wider community in a professional manner as part of project work.
- Starting salary of £28,457.
- Field‑based role.
- 27 days annual leave (rising to 32 over 5 years’ service) plus bank holidays.
- Work a total of 37 hours per week, scheduled between 08:00 and 19:30 across any five days from Monday to Saturday. The exact schedule will depend on business needs at the time; typical working week may be Monday to Thursday from 08:00 to 16:00 and Friday from 08:00 to 15:30.
