Material Planner/Scheduler
Job Description Summary The Material Planner / Scheduler is responsible for ensuring material availability and supporting uninterrupted production and on-time customer deliveries. The role coordinates customer demand, internal production schedules and supplier deliveries, acting as the operational interface between Sales, Production, Logistics and external suppliers. By monitoring inventory levels, expediting materials and managing delivery risks, the position helps maintain stable operations and overall supply chain performance.
Job Description- Management of customer demand and delivery schedules, including review and maintenance of planning data in the ERP system.
- Coordination of material requirements with Production, Logistics and Shipping to support daily and weekly build plans.
- Communication with suppliers regarding order confirmations, delivery dates, schedule changes and capacity constraints.
- Monitoring of raw material availability and follow-up on late or missing deliveries to prevent production interruptions.
- Expediting inbound materials and resolution of supply issues impacting production or customer shipments.
- Inventory monitoring and alignment with defined stock and coverage targets.
- Identification, tracking and escalation of potential supply or delivery risks to internal stakeholders and management.
- All other duties as assigned.
- At least two years of professional experience as a Material Planner, Production Planner or Scheduler within a manufacturing environment.
- Practical experience working with ERP systems, ideally Oracle, combined with strong Microsoft Excel skills for data tracking and reporting.
- Ability to work in a cross‑functional environment and collaborate with internal departments and external partners.
- Structured working style, reliability and ability to manage operational priorities in a dynamic production environment.
