This Mill/Turn Programmer/Setter/Operator position offers the chance to work on varied and technically challenging components within a clean and modern workshop.
8:00 am – 4:50 pm Monday – Thursday
8:00 am – 12:15 pm Friday (36.75 hours per week)
The Mill/Turn Programmer/Setter/Operator will be responsible for programming, setting, and operating CNC mill/turn machines to produce precision components to engineering drawings and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Programming, setting, and operating CNC mill/turn machines
- Producing components to tight tolerances and quality requirements
- Working from detailed engineering drawings
- Machining small batch and one‑off precision components
This Mill/Turn Programmer/Setter/Operator role offers varied work and the opportunity to support high‑precision manufacturing within a professional engineering environment.
Skills & ExperienceTo be successful in this Mill/Turn Programmer/Setter/Operator role, you should have:
- Experience programming, setting, and operating CNC mill/turn machines
- Strong CNC turning experience with live tooling
- Experience with either Fanuc, Mazak, or Siemens controls
- Ability to read and work from engineering drawings independently
- Experience working in a high‑precision machining environment
- Ability to work to tight tolerances
- Apprentice trained machinist (advantageous)
