Salary: £40,000 - £45,000

Working Hours8:00am - 4:50pm Monday - Thursday
8:00am - 12:15pm Friday - (36.75 hours per week)
The Production Engineer will be responsible for supporting CNC machining operations through programming, process development, and continuous improvement activities.
Key responsibilities- Programming CNC machines from engineering drawings
- Offline programming using CAD/CAM software
- Implementing and improving production processes and procedures
- Creating manufacturing routings and documentation
- Selecting and ordering tooling
- Supporting shop floor layout and manufacturing efficiency improvements
- Assisting with continuous improvement and problem-solving activities
This Production Engineer position offers the opportunity to work closely with production teams to improve performance, quality, and efficiency.
Skills & ExperienceTo be successful in this Production Engineer role, you should have:
- Strong CNC turning and milling experience with live tooling
- Previous experience in a Production Engineer or similar role
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Experience with CNC programming and CAD/CAM software - Knowledge of various CNC machine controls
- Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills
- Apprentice trained engineer (advantageous)
