The advertised salary is a starting point only and the salary offered will be reflective of the experience you bring.
Hours of Work: 7.30 am to 5.00 pm, Monday to Friday
Required Qualifications and Experience- Proven experience working with Plant and Tool Hire equipment
- Exceptional knowledge of general building materials
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency in software systems, including Merlin, is preferred

- Overseeing branch premises and company vehicles, ensuring security measures are followed, the site remains tidy, and all operations comply with health and safety legislation.
- Maintaining the company’s professional image by keeping premises (inside and outside), vehicles, staff, and equipment clean, well-presented, and customer-ready.
- Driving the branch’s financial performance by monitoring budgets, tracking KPIs, and applying a clear understanding of profit drivers and cost controls.
- Managing the hire fleet, making sure on- and off-hire procedures are correctly followed, equipment is maintained to hire-ready standards, and all paperwork and user guides are provided.
- Controlling resale stock within the branch, including merchandising, monitoring stock levels and values, managing product profiles, and addressing slow-moving, lost, or damaged items.
- Leading and motivating branch employees in line with company policies, recruiting effectively, and fostering a positive team environment to support high staff retention.
- Keeping the Health & Safety Portal (Safety Cloud) updated, resolving outstanding issues promptly, and ensuring all staff training is current and compliant.
- Acting as a role model for the company’s Core Values in every aspect of branch operations.
- Delivering a consistently positive customer experience by ensuring service quality, professionalism, and responsiveness at all times.
