About the RoleThe successful applicant will work as part of a team delivering targeted interventions within Calderdale’s Custody Suite. Responsibilities include case management for individuals in receipt of a community order. Working in partnership with Integrated Offender Management (IOM) and Probation, you will develop and deliver a local and collective response to persistent and problematic offending, aiming to reduce re‑offending and substance‑related harm.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Manage a caseload by creating, implementing, and reviewing ongoing recovery and treatment plans.
- Facilitate and promote the progression of individuals from initial engagement into structured treatment.
- Contribute to reducing substance‑related harm to individuals and the wider community.
- Collaborate closely with key partners and colleagues to achieve the best health and wellbeing outcomes for individuals.
- Apply ‘co‑production’ principles and set excellent boundaries at all stages of treatment and recovery.
- Think creatively about treatment options, changes and transitions within a multi‑disciplinary, multi‑agency approach.
- Encourage service users to become involved in the service and in service user forums in Calderdale, enhancing their experience and sense of belonging.
- Support health and wellbeing improvements through intensive, co‑created recovery solutions.
- Provide substance misuse‑specific knowledge and interventions, ensuring appropriate intensity and pace of treatment.
- Participate in line management and multi‑disciplinary clinical meetings, with regular psychologist‑led reflective practice.
- Criminal justice background
- A relevant academic background such as Criminology, Psychology, Law or Sociology
- Case management experience
- 27 days’ annual leave, rising to 32 after 1 year (plus bank holidays)
