Accountancy Secretary
To undertake company secretary duties to support their corporate clients with statutory compliance.
Our client is happy to consider applicants looking for Part-Time or Full-Time working hours.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to join a well-established, growing firm of Chartered Accountants based in their Halifax office. You will be responsible for overseeing the Company Secretarial requirements for the office.
Responsibilities:
* Liaising with companies and colleagues to obtain information of Persons of Significant Control (“PSC”) and changes in PSC for filing with Companies House.
* Checking, completing and the filing of annual Confirmation Statements
* Completing forms for changes of director and shareholder
* Completing forms for changes of company name, year-end, etc
* Assisting clients with company in corporations
* Assisting with share issues and share transfers for clients
* Maintaining the share registers, including preparing minutes for routine matters
* Filing of other forms with Companies House
* General company administration and maintenance of statutory records on the Firms client database
* Carrying out company searches via online facilities
Requirements:
* Experience in a Company Secretarial role in a professional services firm, accountancy or legal practice
* Self-motivated and able to use own initiative, with strong attention to detail
* Comfortable dealing with clients and colleagues at all levels
* Working knowledge of CCH Company Secretarial Software preferable, (desirable but not essential)
* Graduate, associate or fellow of the Chartered Governance Institute (formerly ICSA) (desirable but not essential)
* Experience in the reorganisation of share capital, including purchase of own shares and sub-division of shares (desirable but not essential)
