Overview
As a Full‑Time Rapid Response Guard, you will work at various sites across Burlington, Oakville, Milton, and Georgetown, including industrial, retail, healthcare, and office buildings. This dynamic role requires flexibility and quick adaptability to different environments. Site assignments are provided shortly before each shift, so you must be ready to deploy. A reliable personal vehicle is required for travel between locations.
Job Skills / RequirementsPosition Overview: Full‑Time Rapid Response Guard, working at multiple sites (Burlington, Oakville, Milton, Georgetown) during Continental Days (0700‑1900 hrs). Overtime is averaging after 88 hours. Pay is $19.00/hr.

Key Responsibilities- Conduct regular patrols at assigned sites to ensure safety and security.
- Operate security systems such as CCTV cameras and alarm panels, reporting any suspicious activity.
- Monitor and control access to restricted areas, allowing only authorized personnel.
- Respond swiftly to emergencies, including medical incidents, fire alarms, and security threats, assisting staff and patrons as needed.
- Greet and assist visitors, clients, staff, and tenants professionally.
- De‑escalate tense situations, resolve conflicts, and maintain a calm presence under pressure.
- Accurately document activities, incidents, and observations; complete incident reports and logs timely.
- Collaborate with on‑site personnel and local authorities to support a coordinated security presence.
- Enforce site‑specific policies and procedures, addressing violations consistently.
- Travel between site locations as assigned; own vehicle required.
- Valid Ontario Security License and First Aid & CPR Level
C. - Immunization records for Mumps, Measles, Rubella, Varicella, Covid (two doses), and a two‑step TB skin test.
- Own a reliable vehicle.
- Fluent in English (oral and written).
- One year of security experience.
- Legally authorized to work in Canada.
- Education in Police Foundations, Criminology, PSI, or Border Services considered an asset.
- Clean shaven face for N95 mask fit test.
- Ability to walk/climb stairs for extended periods.
- Certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) required; non‑certified applicants may opt into Paladin’s training prior to onboarding.
The UOF/MOAB certification is not paid;
Paladin will cover all training costs with a 6‑month commitment to the position/availability.
