Are you passionate about driving meaningful change and supporting community-focused initiatives? Our client, a Canadian organization dedicated to advancing equity, is seeking a Strategic Initiatives Coordinator to join their Halifax team. This role plays a key part in supporting and coordinating strategic initiatives, special projects, and programs that foster community development and social impact.

Key Responsibilities for the Job:

  • Coordinate the implementation and tracking of multiple strategic initiatives and projects
  • Support project scheduling, deliverables, timelines, and cross-departmental collaboration
  • Provide logistical and administrative support for meetings, workshops, and events
  • Assist with the management of grant programs, including application logistics, implementation, and reporting
  • Support data collection, performance tracking, and evaluation across initiatives
  • Contribute to the preparation of internal and external reports, presentations, and updates
  • Provide day-to-day operational and administrative support, including budget tracking, invoice processing, and file management

Experience & Attributes for Success:

  • 3+ years of experience in project or program coordination, ideally in the nonprofit or community development sector
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management/collaboration tools (e.g., Asana)
  • Bilingual proficiency in French and English is strongly preferred
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to prepare clear reports and communicate with diverse audiences
  • Experience supporting data collection, monitoring, and evaluation activities
  • Strong project coordination and analytical skills
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with partners and stakeholders
  • Adaptable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a dynamic environment
