Please Note:

This will be an on-site role (5 days a week), across projects in the Halifax region.

You as a Project Manager will:

  • Provide overall construction management from pre-construction through to project completion, including design coordination, budgeting, scheduling, and execution, in close partnership with the Superintendent.
  • Responsible for managing multiple small projects ranging from $50K–$200K, as well as single larger projects in the $2M–$5M range.
  • Prepare tender packages and trade subcontracts.
  • Prepare regular, timely and accurate billings for Owners, and ensure timely payment of subcontractor billings.
  • Meet with Owners and Architects in a professional manner and communicate effectively both the concerns and best interests of the company.
  • Monitor, interpret and forecast a project’s cost reports ensuring they are in line with the estimate and maintain a positive cash flow.
  • Lead project meetings with internal and external parties to monitor and support the team’s ongoing development and progression.
  • Submit project reports to Area Manager and communicate with management about project progress and areas of risk that need to be escalated.

    • Is this the right role for you?

  • You have a construction related degree/diploma and five years of construction experience or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience in a Project Manager role in Institutional or Commercial construction.
  • You have a working knowledge of construction scopes and activities, scheduling, project management and contract software.
  • You can confidently mentor and delegate to a large team while developing and maintaining strong client relations.
  • CISD Level I (Reliability) clearance or are eligibility to obtain is required.
