Junior Buyer

This individual is responsible for the planning and purchasing of raw material supporting production at ITS facility. This position will manage select suppliers to ensure on-time delivery at competitive pricing while managing inventory levels to prevent shortages.

• Review and understand requisition requirements.
• Issue requests for quotes/proposals (RFQ/RFP) & select best source based on compliance with technical requirements, cost, quality, and delivery requirement.
• Price negotiation and purchasing of various electronic components, mechanical parts and other materials used in electronic assembly.
• Establish delivery schedules for suppliers and monitor progress.
• Generate Purchase Orders to suppliers.
• Follow-up and expediting of supplier deliveries.
• Manage supplier relationship.
• Serve as a link between Planning, Receiving, Quality, and Manufacturing.
• Competent using Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word programs.
• Must be “hands-on” with strong problem-solving expertise.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to details.

• 1-2 years experience with purchasing of electronics components, preferably with experience from Printed Circuit Board Assembly.
• Enthusiastic, detail and solution-oriented, task-focused, self-motivated.
• Able to work under minimal supervision.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
