Join BDO Canada as a Dayforce General Ledger (GL) Implementation Consultant.
Responsibilities
Manage all aspects of the GL implementation lifecycle, including consulting with the client to collect, document, and validate functional requirements, designing solutions, configuring the system, performing unit and integration testing, training, and deployment.
Apply functional and technical expertise to execute requirements effectively.
Partner with client project managers and executives throughout the implementation.
Engage with key client stakeholders such as Controllers, Accountants, and Financial Officers to analyze and document specific GL posting requirements.
Consult and advise clients on best practices that maximize value and return on investment.
Collaborate with the project team, internal partners, external clients, and third parties to ensure successful delivery.
Provide internal status updates, noting issues or risks with recommended resolution.
Effectively manage multiple projects and clients simultaneously, prioritizing competing demands and coaching others to work efficiently.
Implement Organizational Readiness best practices in preparation for rollout.
Train client staff to perform day‑to‑day activities competently.
Identify best practices and lessons learned, documenting and sharing them internally.
Complete new release training as needed and maintain expert knowledge of Dayforce.

Qualifications
2+ years of Human Capital Management (HCM) implementation experience (Dayforce preferred; similar solutions such as UKG, ADP, etc. acceptable).
Practical knowledge of accounting and payroll in production environments.
Deep proficiency with XML/XSLT and experience with data conversion tools/processes (ETL).
High level of proficiency creating HR, Payroll, and Benefits 834 or COBRA files using XML/XSLT methodology.
Understanding of common HCM business practices.
Relationship management and consulting acumen – asking the right questions to design the right solution.
Ceridian Integration and Ceridian Data Conversion Certification is an asset.
Understanding and experience developing relational databases and SQL is an asset.
Self‑motivated, articulate, and able to engage audiences.
