Python Developer LLM and QA Exposure

Position

Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled developer with expertise in Python, Java, and Large Language Models (LLMs) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical proficiency, experience in LLM testing, and exposure to Quality Assurance (QA) practices. This role requires excellent problem-solving abilities, collaboration skills, and a keen interest in emerging AI technologies.
This is a hybrid position requires working from CGI Halifax, NS office 2 days per week (subject to change anytime). Alternate locations: Moncton or Fredericton NB, Stratford PEI or St. John's, NL).

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain applications using Python and/ or Java

• Design and execute test plans for AI and LLM models

• Implement and test LLM-based solutions for various use cases

• Collaborate with QA teams to ensure high-quality deliverables

• Optimize performance and scalability of AI-driven applications

• Work closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Proven experience in Python and Java development

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field

Must-Have

Skills:

• Strong Python expertise for test automation, scripting, debugging and code review.

• Solid understanding of Data Structures & Algorithms

• Good knowledge of Large Language Models (LLMs) and LLM Testing

• Exposure to Quality Assurance / Testing

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Nice to have

Skills:

• Experience with QA methodologies and test automation frameworks (PyTest, Selenium, Playwright).

• Hands-on experience with LLMs and AI model behaviors and LLM evaluation tools (ex. Deep Eval, Prompt Layer,).

• Prior experience in Banking and Financial Services domain

CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $55,–$,. This role is an existing vacancy.
