Hours:
40 hours per week, with overtime and evening/weekend work as required.
- Maintenance and installation of all broadcast equipment and IT systems, including but not limited to:
- Non-linear editing/playout systems
- Ross Overdrive and broadcast automation systems
- Video cameras, production switchers, routing systems, etc.
- Broadcast RF Transmission including UHF and VHF systems
- Graphic creation systems and related applications
- Electronic News Gathering equipment, Atlas Kit, Dejero, cameras and accessories
- Project management covering point of contact, design, procurement, and commissioning
- Travel to remote sites as needed
- Flexibility with schedule to respond to emergency repair needs
- Design, installation, and maintenance of IT and production IT systems in studio and transmitter broadcast facilities (servers, PCs, laptops, cloud services, WAN, LAN)
- End user setup and support for IT systems
- IP-based program delivery systems
- General building repairs and maintenance
- Managing HVAC and electrical systems
- Assist with winter snow removal
- Other duties as assigned
- Electronics Technician or IT/Computer Engineering diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution, preferably specializing in Broadcast Technology.
- Minimum of 3-5 years in TV broadcast maintenance and IT systems support.
- Must understand all broadcast and production workflows.
- Ability to handle pressure, meet tight deadlines, and multitask while maintaining a high degree of accuracy.
- Strong diagnostic and analytical troubleshooting skills.
- Strong working knowledge of computer hardware and software.
- Excellent work follow-up and organization skills with attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- May be required to work in restricted or close quarters.
- Ability and willingness to work outside in all climates.
Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
