The Opportunity

Reporting to the Director of Research and the Administrative Manager, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, the Integrated Research Assistant will provide high quality research and administrative support to advance the research and quality improvement directions within the IWK Department of Psychiatry. This is a unique environment, embedding health systems research within a clinical care setting. The individual will also work closely with the Mental Health and Addictions Program at the IWK including the Research, Evaluations, and Outcomes team and the Scientific Lead of MHA.

The primary responsibilities of the Integrated Research Assistant are as follows:

• Liaise with faculty to gather information on research and academic outputs and ensure outputs are captured in relevant platforms.

• Ensure all faculty are registered with relevant platforms (e.g. CIHR PIN, Common CV, etc.)

• Working closely with the Director of Research, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry to develop, record, and manage Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and standard templates.

• Working with Faculty/Resident Principal Investigator(s), compiling REB and Grant documentation while supporting the associated submission process.

• Recruiting participants.
