About the Opportunity

We are currently seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Restaurant Workers. As a Restaurant Worker with Nutrition and Food Services, you will play a vital role in supporting the efficient operation of our healthcare facilities and contributing to the delivery of exceptional patient care.

We invite candidates to apply below and answer a few questions about yourself. As casual Restaurant Workers positions are created or become available, selected candidates will be contacted for an interview.

The Restaurant Worker assembles menu items for the café including fresh, made to order foods and beverages & processes customer payments. They follow cost control procedures, practice safe food handling, and provide overall service excellence according to departmental standards. The Restaurant Worker is responsible for stocking, cleaning, and merchandising.

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Ability to deal with customers and patients in a courteous, helpful manner
  • Strong Communication skills
  • Previous food/restaurant experience preferred
  • Cash handling experience preferred
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Proven interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Compensation and Benefits

  • Hourly wages starting at $21.68 - $23.36 Hourly

  • 11% in lieu of benefits and vacation

  • Casual Relief 3%

  • Shifts can include day, evening, night, weekends, and holidays
