PurposeJoin Scotia Securities Inc. and contribute to our success by executing sales strategies within an assigned territory. Your goal will be to support mutual fund representatives in delivering client-focused long-term investment advice, drive Assets Under Management (AUM) growth through retail branches and promote adherence to Global Sales Principles.
Is this role right for you? In this role you will:- Develop and execute a regional business plan:
- Increase assets under administration
- Drive market share growth
- Enhance knowledge among Mutual Fund Representatives (MFRs) of Scotia Fund Solutions and related tools
- Act as the primary field resource for registered representatives, boosting confidence in mutual fund positioning and sales strategies.
- Analyze data to implement territory segmentation strategies, identify business opportunities, and resolve barriers to growth.
- Collaborate with Branch Managers to implement strategies that drive mutual fund sales within their branches.
- Motivate and coach sales staff through presentations, workshops, and one-on-one consulting.
- Provide expert, timely assistance to sales officers via seminars and individual meetings.
- Ensure compliance with Scotiabank's Values Code of Conduct and Global Sales Principles while managing operational compliance and conduct risk.
- Undergraduate degree in Finance or related field
- 5 years of financial services experience, preferably in mutual funds
- Strong knowledge of mutual fund sales and marketing
- Proven ability to coach and influence MFRs and leadership teams
- Excellent presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Highly motivated self-starter with minimal supervision
- Canadian Securities Course (CSC), PFP, CFP, or equivalent (asset)
- Hybrid work model: 20% remote, 80% branch locations
- Extensive domestic travel
- Non-standard hours may occur
