Position: Porter (Casino), Full Time-HFX
Location: Halifax Regional MunicipalityPosition Summary
We are on the lookout for an energetic Casino Porter with an “all about the guest” attitude. Under the direct supervision of the Facilities Manager, the successful candidate will ensure the cleanliness of the casino and public areas to maintain outstanding experiences for casino guests. Must be collaborative, excel at multi-tasking and display exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Contributes to a safe and welcoming work environment for all employees.
Ensures adherence to all policies and procedures.
Above all else, must embrace and be aligned with Casino Nova Scotia’s culture and philosophy of providing outstanding entertainment experiences.
Key Accountabilities
General and specialized cleaning duties in all casino areas including gaming floor, kitchens, and other back of house areasResponsible for heavy lifting including maneuvering heavy cleaning equipmentWorks with cleaning chemicals and operates various cleaning equipmentProvides an exceptional experience for casino internal and external guest s as this position is a high guest contact positionResponsible for washroom cleaning in public and back of house areas.Finds ways to play

Embraces the Casino Nova Scotia culture and philosophy and has a playful, infectious and "all about the guest" attitude!Must have the ability to be certified by the Nova Scotia Alcohol & Gaming DivisionSatisfactory attendance is requiredMust be able to use industrial machinery such as burnishers, buffers and carpet extractors.Must be able to work backshiftKnowledge of cleaning chemicals and procedures an assetWHMIS knowledge an assetMust be able to lift 40 lbsMust have good communication skillsMust be a team playerMust be able to prioritise and have strong time management skillsMust have excellent guest service skillsWork Environment Considerations
