Position: In-Service Monitoring Program (ISMP) Engineer - Canadian SAR Helicopter
Position Overview:

The In-Service Monitoring Program (ISMP) Engineer is the point of contact for the Aircraft In-Service Monitoring Program activities within the CH149 Acceptable Technical Organization (ATO). The ISMP Engineer is responsible for the co-ordination of activities between the CH149 Senior Design Engineer (SDE), CH149 Engineering Manager, the Rotary Wing ASIP department and the CH149 Logistics Support Analysis (LSA) group. The ISMP Engineer is responsible for the implementation of the recommendations and actions resulting from in-service monitoring activities on the CH149 fleet.
Responsibilities:
Co-ordination and preparation of the CH149 In-Service Monitoring Plan
Coordination and implementation of planned activities arising from the CH149 in-service monitoring program, including but not limited to:  Reliability and Maintainability
Obsolescence Management Activities
Maintenance Program Control and update
Aircraft Structural Integrity Monitoring
Engine Structural Integrity Monitoring
HUMS and Vibration Monitoring
Electrical Wiring Interconnect System (EWIS)
Aging Aircraft Assessment Plan activities
Other Monitoring activities

Review recommendations and actions arising from ASIP and LSA activities.
Coordinate the delivery of required resulting information to the SDE.
Coordinate the implementation of the resulting recommendations and actions to the fleet.
Tracking the implementation of the actions resulting from ISMP outputs.
Conduct effective communications between the CH149 Accredited Technical Organization (ATO), the CH149 ASIP group, LSA Department and the Department of National Defense (DND).
As required, conduct day to day ISMP management functions including tracking and coordinating delivery of contracted ISMP deliverables to the customer.
Responsible for the preparation of the Annual Airworthiness Report Technical (AAR-Tech) and assist in preparation of the Airworthiness Review Board (ARB) slide deck.
Co-ordinate OPI input and prepare the monthly Record Airworthiness Risk Management (RARM) Report.
Prepare engineering reports, technical memoranda and technical directions.
Perform Engineering approvals on internally generated technical data, when authorized.
Perform airworthiness functions as a recognized DE/DT when authorized
In extraordinary circumstances and when required by operational necessity, provide weekend and after-hours support to SAR Ops.
Other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

B.Eng. or

B.Sc. (Eng.), or Diploma in Engineering Technology, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Eligibility for registration as a Professional Engineer or Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) is desirable.
Knowledge of rotary wing airframe and aircraft structures.
Knowledge of rotary wing integrity monitoring programs is desirable.
Possess clear and effective written and oral communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks.
Knowledge of airworthiness regulations and standards, and military aircraft modification processes desirable.
3 or more years’ experience in an aircraft engineering environment.
Sound interpersonal skills and an ability to work effectively with people at all levels, both within the organization and those in outside agencies.
Must possess good self-discipline with an ability to work independently when required.
Must possess an ability to logically assimilate information and identify related causal factors, as well as to effectively prioritize multiple tasks.
Must be eligible to meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Secret Level II Security Clearance through PSPC
- Contract Security Program, and Transport Canada RAIC clearance.
