- Education:
Bachelor's degree - Experience:
3 years to less than 5 years Work setting - Publishing house Tasks
- Establish procedures and implement policies in newspaper and publishing firms
- Plan and maintain production schedules
- Recruit, hire and supervise staff and/or volunteers
- Prepare budgets and monitor revenues and expenses
- Consult with government regulatory agencies
- Review programs and policies to ensure conformance with regulations
- Initiate or approve development of articles, books, films, broadcasts, musical recording and theatre productions
- Liaise with authors, composers, producers and directors
- Estimate time to complete graphic designs and illustrations
- Oversee the editorial production, from idea generation to publication
- Design and layout pages
- Plan page layouts and electronically alter shape, size and positions of illustrations and text
- Prepare sketches, layouts and graphic elements Supervision
