Role Overview

We are looking for Lecturers to teach across a range of undergraduate levels as part of our BA (Hons) Accounting & Finance programme. The delivery model requires flexibility to teach during weekdays, evenings and weekends.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, deliver, assess and improve student work to meet learning outcomes.
  • Develop, update and enhance course materials.
  • Employ a variety of teaching methods and materials.
  • Participate in staff development, peer observations, meetings and other administrative duties.
  • Keep up to date with developments in the field and student support practices.
  • Work towards objectives for student attendance, continuation, completion, satisfaction and progression.
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in a relevant subject area (PhD desirable).
  • Previous UK HE lecturing experience in the subject area.
  • Extensive knowledge of the subject matter.
  • Experience supervising student work and providing feedback.
  • Accurate reporting and maintaining thorough student records.
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritise workload to meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and team‑working skills.
  • Ability to work with diverse groups of people.
Desirable
  • Postgraduate Certificate of Academic Practice or equivalent (or commitment to enrol in a teaching programme and complete within three years) or Fellowship of HEA (or international equivalent).
  • Experience designing/developing academic or professional education programmes or equivalent.
