Manager - Induction Furnace Head

The Induction Furnace Head will be responsible for the overall operation, maintenance, and performance of induction furnace systems, ensuring safe, efficient, and uninterrupted production. The role demands strong hands-on expertise in both electrical and mechanical maintenance, along with effective coordination across production and maintenance teams.

Responsibilities

- Oversee day-to-day operations and maintenance of induction furnaces to ensure optimal performance
- Plan, execute, and monitor preventive as well as breakdown maintenance (electrical & mechanical)
- Ensure maximum furnace availability, operational efficiency, and compliance with safety standards
- Coordinate closely with production, maintenance, and utility teams for smooth and uninterrupted operations
- Monitor power consumption, refractory life, furnace efficiency, and overall equipment health
- Analyze operational data and initiate corrective and improvement actions
- Lead, mentor, and supervise maintenance engineers and technicians
- Ensure strict adherence to SOPs, statutory requirements, and safety protocols
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to furnace performance and maintenance practices

Qualifications

- Diploma /

B.Tech in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- 8–10 years of relevant experience in induction furnace operations and maintenance
- Strong hands-on exposure to electrical and mechanical systems of induction furnaces
- Experience in heavy engineering, foundry, or metallurgical industries preferred
- Good leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills
