Responsibilities- Perform routine dental cleanings and periodontal maintenance
- Conduct oral health assessments and take dental X-rays
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and preventative care
- Assist dentists with exams and treatments as needed
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with industry regulations
- Follow sterilization and infection control protocols
- Through the delivery of periodontal therapies and other hygiene-related services, improve the oral health of patients; provide high levels of care
- Under limited supervision, provide oral hygiene treatment and education in accordance with state guidelines
- Patient screening, medical history and dental charting
- Application of fluoride and protective sealants; removal of calculus, stain and plaque
- Provide nutritional counseling and self-care programs to prevent disease
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program
- Active or pending Florida Hygiene License
- X-ray License required
- Certification in local anesthesia (if applicable)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to patient care and comfort
- New graduates are welcome to apply
- Hands-on experience as a Hygienist; graduation from an accredited dental hygiene school; current state license
