We are recruiting a Prep & Cleaner on behalf of our client, an expanding engineering and manufacturing company operating from bright, modern facilities. This is a hands-on role supporting high-quality production standards within a clean, safety-focused environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, cleaning and inspecting components and assemblies to ultra-high vacuum (UHV) standards, ensuring all parts meet strict quality and cleanliness requirements.



The Role


Key responsibilities include:

• Cleaning, visual inspection, packaging and labelling of piece parts, sub-assemblies and final assemblies to UHV standards
• Carrying out leak checks on chambers
• Bead blasting to remove surface deposits and achieve high-quality finished components
• Identifying and reporting any faults or non-conformances
• Meeting internal and external customer deadlines without compromising quality
• Maintaining a clean, tidy and professional work environment
• Adhering to all Health, Safety and Environmental policies
• Undertaking additional duties as required to support the wider business

Skills & Experience

• Understanding of UHV cleaning standards
• Experience working with hazardous chemicals and awareness of associated safety requirements
• Ability to read and follow work instructions accurately
• Experience cleaning components using abrasive materials and chemicals
• Strong focus on quality while working to deadlines
• Understanding the importance of on-time delivery
• Relevant health and safety training
• Previous bead blasting experience would be advantageous
