We are looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic individual, capable of demonstrating a strong sense of initiative, adapting to any given situation, who works well as part of a team. A friendly caring attitude, sense of humour and an understanding of those who have experienced trauma and complex life experiences and have been involved with the criminal justice system.
As our physical health Practitioner, you will be supporting the delivery of implementing bespoke intervention which supports our patients with any given physical issues. Also working alongside our wards MDTs to meet the physical healthcare of our patients.
Your role will be diverse, work is varied, can be fast paced and demanding, so the post holder must be flexible in their practices and thinking.
We ask you to be committed to delivering a quality service and you are passionate in developing/improving service provision. We offer training opportunities whilst you are working in a supportive environment within a specialised team, regular supervision and support, opportunities for continued professional development including bespoke CPD. We will ensure you have a suitable induction period, with training provided according to your needs, along with support and weekly reflective practice from an experienced MDT.

To be an autonomous practitioner supporting delivery of interventions in physical health care.
Supporting patients with long term health conditions maintaining accurate and relevant data.
To undertake physical health assessments, attendance of Recovery Reviews when required.
- To work with colleagues to undertake a range of health promotion activities e.g. healthy lifestyle checks, sexual health advice, weight management programmes, and signposting to appropriate services/agencies.
- Responsible for the maintenance of stock control for medical and surgical equipment and consumables as appropriate.
We in forensics are committed and invested in the patient group we care for and we pride ourselves on delivering a high standard of care and practice.
You will be line managed by the modern matron but will build positive working relationships with a MDT who comprises of consultant psychiatrist, nurses, HCA, to other professional such as psychology, social workers to our security reception team.
